Now in its third year, the awards continue to showcase the best in new housing from across the country.

Developers and architects from Glasgow to Suffolk were celebrated for their work in building exemplary homes and communities across a range of different tenures.

London-based architects Child Graddon Lewis took home an impressive three awards.

The firm’s Dalston Lane Terrace development in east London won the prize for best regeneration project of up to 70 homes as well as for the best small development, while its striking terrace of new family homes at Warriner Gardens in Battersea, south-west London, won the award for best market sale development.

Another big winner on the night was Orbit Group, whose transformation of a rundown former council estate in south-east London, now named Erith Park, won the award for best regeneration project of more than 70 homes. Orbit bagged a second award – best build for rent development – for its Fordham House scheme in Stratford-upon-Avon in Warwickshire.

On the awards, Martin Hilditch, editor at Inside Housing, said: “From the Building Better, Building Beautiful Commission to the Stirling Prize, there has been a welcome focus on the quality of the homes we build in 2019.

“The standard of entries for this year’s Inside Housing Development Awards has been similarly impressive – and I’m delighted we are able to help flag learning from some of the best development schemes across the UK.”

We will be bringing you more information about the winning entries in the coming weeks.
