Dolphin Living has hired former A2Dominion assistant finance director to head up its finance team.
The London-based affordable housing provider today announced James Hedgman as its new finance director to assist with the expansion of the organisation.
Mr Hedgman has held a number of senior roles at some of the country’s biggest housing associations, including three years as assistant finances director at A2Dominion and a number of months as interim senior business partner at The Guinness Partnership.
He joins Dolphin Living from Visit Britain where he was assistant finance director.
Dolphin Living is an affordable housing charity which owns 630 homes for rent across nine London boroughs, with a further 200 in construction.
It currently owns a number of estates across London including the New Era Estate in Hackney, which it bought from private equity investors following a high-profile campaign from residents and actor Russell Brand.
The organisation is famed for its personalised rent initiative across its developments which sees residents pay rent based on their household income.
Olivia Harris, chief executive of Dolphin Living, said: “We are delighted to have an experienced housing finance professional such as James join our team at Dolphin Living and look forward to working together with him to build upon our primary objective which is to create more homes for working Londoners.”
