Ex-Clarion chief executive Keith Exford has been appointed as an affordable housing consultant at major real estate firm CBRE.
The real estate services and investment firm has appointed Mr Exford as a consultant for affordable housing and housing associations.
Mr Exford recently retired from his chief executive role at Clarion, after leading the association through a major merger.
CBRE is advising on Queen’s Wharf, a joint venture between developer Mount Anvil and A2 Dominion, and Peabody’s Thamesmead development.
Mr Exford will be working with CBRE’s planning, development, residential, capital advisors and valuations businesses to develop a housing association advisory business.
Stephen Hubbard, chair of CBRE UK, said: “We are delighted that Keith will be bringing his wealth of experience in the affordable housing sector to CBRE.
"The UK’s largest housing associations have become genuine rivals to the UK’s most dominant house builders and developers in terms of land acquisitions and volume of delivery.
"This provides an exciting opportunity for our advisory business and Keith will be an invaluable asset as we look to grow in this sector, enhancing our capability to better serve our clients.”
