Vistry Partnerships has been selected by Homes England to build 171 homes in Greater Manchester.
The scheme is one of 19 Homes England sites that Vistry Partnerships is currently developing, which will account for more than 4,000 new homes.
Based in Littleborough, Rochdale, the latest scheme will see Vistry Partnerships deliver a mix of tenures, including homes available for sale under Vistry Group’s Linden Homes brand.
Vistry Partnerships is part of the Vistry Group, which was formed last year when Bovis Homes purchased rival Galliford Try’s Linden Homes and Partnerships & Regeneration businesses.
Since being formed, Vistry Partnerships has entered into deals with a number of housing associations and councils, including Clarion and Populo Living, the housing company owned by Newham Council.
Vistry Partnerships Yorkshire will lead the Littleborough scheme through the pre-construction phase and onto the site in early 2022.
Located just north of the M62, the homes have easy access by road and rail to major employment hubs including Manchester, Leeds, Huddersfield and Blackburn.
Andrew Poyner, managing director of Vistry Partnerships Yorkshire, said: “This contract represents the first project with Homes England through the delivery partner panel for our Yorkshire business and we look forward to delivering an excellent range of new homes for the local community. Importantly, we’re providing a mix of quality new homes to appeal to a wide range of customers.”
Stephen Teagle, chief executive of Vistry Partnerships, said: “Since Vistry Partnerships Yorkshire joined our business in 2019, they’ve focused on securing larger, mixed-tenure opportunities and I’m delighted to see this strategy bearing fruit. We work extensively with Homes England and we are very pleased to be taking forward this new site and delivering a range of homes that matches local housing need and accelerates the supply of new homes.”
Amid the housing crisis and with increasing demands on local authorities, developers and housing associations to deliver more homes, the Inside Housing and Homes England Development Summit brings together the public and private sector to collaborate towards the effective delivery of homes across England.
This is not a conference. It is a business meeting of decision-makers on delivery and how to build more quality homes.
