The winners were named at a dinner being held ahead of the Chartered Institute of Housing’s annual conference, which begins this morning.

The awards ceremony is organised by Inside Housing and the CIH.

Grainia Long, chief executive of the CIH, said: ‘These awards are testament to the energy and commitment of housing professionals, tenants and board members alike. Congratulations to all the winners and indeed the shortlisted finalists – their remarkable achievements show what a huge difference our industry can make to people’s lives and our communities.’

At the dinner Peter Bond, a 33-year-old tenancy management officer from Sanctuary Housing in Liverpool, was named as the winner of the 2013 Rising Stars competition. This aims to showcase the talent and commitment of young housing professionals, such as Mr Bond and his fellow finalists, Catherine Attenborough, from Catalyst Housing, and Sarah Morton, from South Yorkshire Housing Association.
