Researchers have built an interactive 3D image of Grenfell Tower to help understand the devastating fire last June.
In the news
Sky News has been given exclusive access to the technology ahead of a preliminary hearing of the Grenfell Tower Inquiry today.
The Guardian reported last night that the inquiry will have more core participants than any other public inquiry in UK history, with more than 530 people and organisations given special status.
And The Times reveals today that the inquiry’s chair, Sir Martin Moore-Bick, has rejected almost all witness requests for anonymity.
In the interest of transparency, just three of the 22 applications for core participants to remain anonymous were granted.
Meanwhile, The Guardian runs a story on a report by the European Federation of National Organisations Working with the Homeless (or Feantsa), which found housing costs for low earners in the UK are the worst in Western Europe.
There is shocking news from Glasgow, where 44 new homes for affordable rent were subject to an arson attack on Monday night, as per the Evening Times.
The blaze is thought to have caused six figures worth of damage to the scheme, built by Wheatley Group.
In Northern Ireland, the Belfast Telegraph runs a profile interview with John McLean, chief executive of the region’s largest landlord, Radius.
And finally, The Guardian has a piece looking at the potential impacts of the Homelessness Reduction Act, which comes into force next month.
