Cambridgeshire-based housing association, Hundred Houses Society, has appointed Matt Thomas as its new chief executive
Mr Thomas joined the Hundred Houses Society last Wednesday having previously worked as director of housing at Suffolk-based Flagship Homes, and as deputy chief executive at Charnwood Neighbourhood Housing.
Nick Abbey, chair of Hundred Houses Society, said: “This is an exciting time for Hundred Houses as we look to play our part in delivering new homes in Cambridge and providing an excellent service for our customers.”
Founded in 1933, the 1,350-home provider completed its first 100 homes in 1935.
Mr Thomas’s role will include overseeing the expansion of the housing association’s development programme in coming years to deliver new homes in Cambridgeshire.
Mr Thomas said: “It’s a real privilege to join Hundred Houses and get the chance to work with the board and team. Hundred Houses are a great local housing organisation, with a long history of helping to house people in Cambridge and the surrounding area.
“I am looking forward to working with local partners to deliver more homes in Cambridge, while delivering the best possible service for our customers.”
