Mr Sanders said: “I have been aware of Linc’s work for many years and admired the positive difference it has made to the lives of its tenants and residents.

“Robert has led a very successful business and it is evident that everyone involved has a clear ambition to grow the company and address the programme for government in Wales.

“Linc is extremely well-placed to support the exciting opportunities for housing, health and social care and I look forward to working in partnership to provide greater well-being for people in Wales.”

Mr Sanders spent 13 years at Pobl, most recently as director of Derwen Cymru and Charter Housing, two of its subsidiary housing associations.

He is also a non-executive director at Community Housing Cymru, as well as Action on Smoking and Health Wales and retirement housing charity Abbeyfield Wales Society.

Richard Norton, chair of Linc, said: “Scott’s knowledge and experience of affordable housing and social care is outstanding and we look forward to him providing the executive leadership for our future.

“He joins at an exciting time in Linc’s development, and takes over from Robert who has steered the association to a position of great strength.

“Scott shares our ambition of making a major contribution to housing and care in Wales and ensuring the well-being of our tenants and residents.”
