A hundred organisations have signed up to the Chartered Institute of Housing’s (CIH) pledge to tackle domestic violence in the fortnight since its launch.
The CIH called on social landlords to support four pledges to tackle domestic violence in its ‘Make a Stand’ campaign, announced last month.
Alison Inman, president of the CIH, said: “By signing up to put in place the four focused actions in the pledge, the organisations that have joined us have made a very real difference and will help people who are experiencing domestic abuse to come forward and get support.
“To have done this across a quarter of social housing in the UK in our first two weeks is phenomenal and a testament to the determination of the housing sector to do more on this issue.”
