The country’s largest provider of specialist care and housing to older people has appointed a new chair #ukhousing

Housing association @AnchorHanover has brought in a former finance boss to be its new chair #ukhousing

Mr Kemball has 25 years’ experience in financial and business services and has served on the boards of companies including Cambian Group, which provides specialist education and behavioural health services; engineering consultancies WS Atkins and Scott Wilson; and textile rental and washrooms services business Berendsen.

He also chairs St Elizabeth’s Centre, a charitable trust which supports up to 210 vulnerable children, young people and adults with epilepsy and other complex medical conditions. Mr Kemball is a trustee of the Archdiocese of Westminster, too.

In December last year, Anchor Trust and Hanover Housing Association completed a merger to form a new 54,000-home provider, the largest provider of specialist care and housing to older people.

Mr Kemball said: “I am delighted to have the opportunity to join Anchor Hanover at such a pivotal time. The excellent work of my predecessor, the board and colleagues across the organisation means we are well positioned to deliver more homes for people in later life.”

Dr Burgess became chair of Hanover Housing Association in 2014 and continued after the merger.
