Chief executive of newly merged housing association to step down #ukhousing

Peter Brown to retire from Connexus #ukhousing

Peter Brown, currently head of Connexus, is to retire at the end of June.

Connexus, which owns around 10,000 homes, was formed through a merger between Shropshire Housing and Herefordshire Housing last July.

Mr Brown will be replaced by Jake Berriman, current deputy chief executive of Connexus and former boss of Shropshire Housing.

He said: “I’ve enjoyed every minute in housing but after working for 11 housing associations, six as [chief executive], it’s time to start a new adventure.

“Connexus is a great organisation with great people and now is the time for something else to take the reins.”

Ruth Cooke, chair of Connexus, said: “Peter has done a great job getting Connexus up and running and we wish him well in the future.”
