The UK’s largest housing association Clarion Housing Group has made two new appointments to its executive board.
The 125,000-home association has promoted Catrin Jones, the current director of business transition, to the role of group services director; while Rob Lane, current director of commercial finance, has become the group’s new commercial director.
Ms Jones will replace Jonathan Cawthra who is due to retire from his role as group director of HR and corporate services. She will have responsibility for a range of services such as HR, property and facilities, governance, internal audit and legal services.
The promotion of Mr Lane comes after previous director of commercial service, Michelle Reynolds, was made the company’s chief operations officer, following the retirement of Neil McCall.
Mr Lane will be responsible for Clarion’s subsidiary organisations – Centra, Clarion Response and Grange Management – as well as the group’s private rental business.
Prior to joining Clarion in 2016, Mr Lane held a number of senior finance roles at companies such as Network Rail and Domino’s Pizza Group.
The two appointments are the latest changes to the Clarion board after Lendlease’s head of delivery Richard Cook was appointed group development director in December, replacing Austin Reid.
