The former chair of the Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) in Scotland is stepping down from its board as three new members have been appointed.
Amanda Britain, housing and well-being specialist, who spent two years as chair of the group until February this year, is leaving the board, CIH Scotland has announced. Fellow board members Gordon Campbell and Kirsty Wells are also stepping down at the group’s annual general meeting on 5 November.
Sandra McLeod, director of River Clyde Homes; Phillip Morrison-Gale, head of housing at Hjaltland Housing Association; and Graeme Hamilton, a housing consultant, will all join the board following the meeting.
Ms McLeod has around 34 years experience in social housing, while Mr Hamilton worked for Wheatley Group and Glasgow City Council for over 30 years. Mr Morrison-Gale previously worked for Blackwood, Link and Clúid Housing in the Republic of Ireland.
On the new appointments, Esther Wilson, chair of CIH Scotland, said: “I know that their wealth of experience across the sector will be invaluable as we go forward.”
She added: “I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Amanda Britain, Gordon Campbell and Kirsty Wells, who are standing down from the board, for their great support and active contribution.”
