Housing association partners with Vistry Group as part of large regeneration scheme #UKhousing

Notting Hill Genesis has formed a joint venture with Vistry Partnerships to deliver 241 homes as part of 1,800-home regeneration scheme in London’s Royal Docks #UKhousing

Of the 241 homes to be delivered by the partnership, 95 (40%) will be affordable. More than 17,000sqft of commercial space will provided as part of the development.

The developers have promised to work in partnership with the Greater London Authority (GLA), which owns the land, to provide public realm improvements including walking and cycling routes and a new urban park.

Work on this phase will begin this summer and is expected to be complete by January 2023.

It forms part of the wider Royal Albert Wharf regeneration project, which is being led by NHG and is expected to deliver more than 1,800 homes.

NHG also partnered with Vistry Partnerships to deliver the first phase of the project at Great Eastern Quays.

Vistry Partnerships was formed in January this year after Bovis Homes bought Galliford Try’s Linden Homes and Partnerships & Regeneration businesses.

Since forming, the organisation has agreed partnerships with a number of housing associations including Aster and Clarion.

Jake Brodetsky, joint venture partnerships director at NHG, said: “This is a really exciting project and we look forward to echoing the success to date of Royal Albert Wharf with these new homes and an urban park that will benefit the entire neighbourhood.

“Our work on the docks with Vistry and in partnership with the GLA has proven to be very popular with residents and communities alike, and we are confident this joint venture will allow us to continue in that vein.”

Matthew Taylor, managing director of Vistry Partnerships’ London Developments business, said: “Having already constructed several phases at Royal Albert Wharf for Notting Hill Genesis, we are incredibly pleased to enter into this new joint venture to bring forward Gallions Quarter, the next exciting chapter.

“Working closely with Notting Hill Genesis and the GLA, the scheme is rapidly proving itself to be a fine example of true regeneration – breathing new life into the area, providing mixed-tenure homes for all and creating opportunities for local people.”
