Inside Housing launches annual assaults survey for 2019 #ukhousing

Are you a frontline #ukhousing worker? Our anonymous assaults survey asks staff to share accounts of verbal and physical abuse while at work, how it has been handled by employers and how safe they currently feel in their roles #ukhousing

The survey wants frontline housing staff to help Inside Housing and take five minutes to fill out the survey.

In 2017, 239 people responded to the survey, with nearly two-thirds saying they had been verbally abused in 2016/17 and only 1% said that they felt safer in their jobs than they did a year ago.

As part of the survey, Inside Housing will also be asking housing associations for anonymised figures on the number of frontline staff that have been verbally abused or physically assaulted in 2017/18 and 2018/19. We have also used the Freedom of Information Act to ask local authorities for the same figures.

Housing professionals and housing associations have until 6 June to complete the survey and hand in their information, with the results published in Inside Housing later in June.
