One scheme - Limelight, an 81-home extra care development in Old Trafford, Manchester - bagged two awards for Trafford Housing Trust and builder Willmott Dixon. It won best affordable housing development (over 71 homes) and best older people’s housing development (over 71 homes), as well as being highly commended in the best residential development (over 71 homes) category.

“The entries reveal not just that people are building fantastic homes - they also demonstrate how the sector is helping to build successful areas and communities as a result,” said Martin Hilditch, managing editor at Inside Housing. “That involves everything from brilliant design to high-quality delivery across a range of different tenures.”

More details about the winning entries will be published online and in a special printed supplement next month.
