Giant housing association L&Q has launched a £1m-a-year fund for charities.
The Place Makers Fund will be open to bids from charities and community organisations in London and the South East supporting education, health and well-being.
L&Q, which owns more than 90,000 homes in and around the capital, will provide grants of up to £50,000, or £10,000 for individual projects.
Charities of all sizes will be eligible, with a rolling monthly deadline on the first day of each month.
Matthew Corbett, director of the L&Q Foundation, said: “At L&Q everything we do starts with social purpose and we believe that everyone should have the chance to achieve their potential no matter where they live.
“We recognise the need to work with as many partner organisations as possible to achieve long-term benefits in our communities.
“With the launch of Place Makers Fund we hope to support local people to thrive at every stage of their lives whether through education and employment, promoting health and well-being or combating isolation.”
Bids for the fund can be made through L&Q’s website.
