Morning Briefing: warnings over Grenfell families #ukhousing

In the news

Grenfell United, a support group for survivors, has warned that 118 out of 208 families will still be in emergency accommodation or with friends over the holiday period, including 29 families with children, The Guardian reports.

The rehousing process is also the top story on our homepage this morning, as we reveal a row between neighbours of Grenfell who were evacuated by the fire and the council over the rules relating to their rehousing.

Also in the news this morning, the Big Issue carries a report about the UK’s biggest shipping container village, which has opened up in Acton, west London. And maverick Labour MP Frank Field blogs for The Guardian about how he made Tory Heidi Allen cry.
