One Housing Group appoints new chief executive
One Housing Group has appointed the former boss of a 17,000-home housing association as its new chief executive.
Richard Hill, who led Spectrum Housing Group until its merger with Sovereign last year and also held senior roles at the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA), has been selected to take over the reins at London-based One Housing.
He will begin in September, following the departure of former chief executive Mick Sweeney earlier this year.

Anthony Mayer, chair of One Housing, said: “These are politically and economically turbulent times for housing associations.
“The future will undoubtedly bring even more uncertainty for the sector but also new opportunities to thrive and to help meet the housing crisis head-on.
“We are confident that Richard will lead the organisation to even greater success in the months and years to come.”
Mr Hill was deputy chief executive of the HCA and director of investment at predecessor organisation the Housing Corporation.
John Gregory, former group director of housing services at One Housing, will continue as interim chief executive until September.
One Housing owns around 16,000 homes in London and has a large market sale arm and an ambitious development programme. It aims to build 3,500 properties by 2020.
