@RSHEngland has confirmed its gradings for 19 providers, including the largest housing association in the UK #UKhousing

Today, the Regulator of Social Housing (RSH) issued strapline judgements confirming G1/V1 grades for governance and financial viability – the highest possible – for 15 social landlords.

Among these was 125,000-home Clarion Housing Group, as well as 45,000-home Optivo, which was graded following an in-depth assessment by the RSH.

Midland Heart, which owns around 33,000 homes, and 31,000-home Wakefield and District Housing also had their G1/V1 grades confirmed.

CHP, Coastline Housing, Curo, Futures Housing Group, Grand Union Housing Group, Look Ahead Care and Support Housing, North Star Housing Group, Nottingham Community Housing Association, Paradigm Housing Group, Trent & Dove, and Vale of Aylesbury Housing were the other providers held at G1/V1.

A further four strapline judgements of G1/V2 were issued, indicating compliance with the RSH’s financial viability standard but a need to manage “material risks” to ensure that remains the case.

These related to 38,000-home A2Dominion, Christian Action Housing Association, South Yorkshire Housing Association and Tuntum Housing Association.

Apart from for Optivo, all judgements were issued following routine annual stability checks by the RSH.

The regulator has also updated its website to reflect a group restructure by North Star, which transferred its and its subsidiaries engagements to Endeavour Housing Association on 2 November, with Endeavour changing its name to North Star Housing Group on the same date.

Last month, the RSH announced it will publish weekly regulatory judgements for providers which have been subject to a stability check until February, to deal with the high volume of judgements at this time of year.

It will continue to publish narrative judgements coming out of in-depth assessments or reactive engagement on the last Wednesday of each month, while those arising from enforcement action will remain published on an ad hoc basis.
