Sage announces trio of non-executive director hires

For-profit social housing provider Sage Housing has announced the appointment of three new non-executive directors to its board.

For-profit social housing provider Sage Housing has announced the appointment of three new non-executive directors to its board #UKhousing

The London-based association, which is backed by US private equity giant Blackstone, has appointed Cindy Rampersaud, Cedi Frederick and Gareth Llewellyn to its board.

Ms Rampersaud, currently senior vice-president at education specialist Pearson, responsible for the business and technology council (BTEC), joins Sage’s audit and risk committee.

Mr Frederick, currently chair of North Middlesex University NHS Hospital Trust, will join the customer and people committee. He has more than 40 years’ experience in the public, not-for-profit and private sectors including 25 years at chief executive level in the housing association and social care sectors. He spent a number of years on the board of Family Mosaic, which is now Peabody.

Commenting on his appointment, Mr Frederick said: “I am excited to be joining Sage Housing and to bring my experience in the delivery of high-quality customer-facing services to the organisation.

“Sage Housing has set out an ambitious agenda and is moving forward at pace to deliver sector-leading, affordable housing solutions and I am honoured that they believe I can help them achieve their objectives.”

Mr Llewellyn, current chair of the board of remuneration and nominations committee at Harwich Haven Authority, has been appointed to Sage’s remuneration and nomination committee.

Mark Sater, chief executive of Sage, said: “Alongside our existing board members, our new non-executive directors will bring a new perspective and breadth of experience to help guide and shape the future of our business. I’m looking forward to working alongside them in the coming weeks, months and years.”
