Small London-based landlord Soho Housing has appointed Anne McLoughlin as its new chief executive.
Ms McLoughlin was appointed as Soho Housing’s chief executive last month. The association owns or manages 800 homes at social, discounted and market rents.
She has previously worked in various roles in the social housing sector, including operations director at 7,500-home Hastoe Housing between 2005 and 2018, and chair of Innisfree Housing Association from 2010 to 2019.
Most recently she was managing director of Carrageen Consulting and previously served as partnership commissioning manager for Buckinghamshire County Council.
Commenting on her appointment, Ms McLoughlin said she feels “honoured” to be leading the organisation, which operates primarily in Soho, Covent Garden, Fitzrovia, Bloomsbury, Pimlico, Queen’s Park and Farringdon.
She added: “Soho Housing is a special organisation with a distinct purpose, creating its own future through the courage of the board, staff and tenants and by building financial strength.
“Together with the excellent team at Soho we will build on our unique position, reinforce our social purpose and drive forward a sustainable future that captures the spirit of our founders.”
Lesley Roberts, chair of Soho Housing’s board, said: “We are delighted to welcome Anne, whose values and experience are a perfect fit for Soho Housing.
“I look forward to working with her on this exciting new chapter to ensure Soho Housing thrives in the ever-evolving environment that is the new norm.”
