Voting opens for CIH vice president

James Strang, chief executive of Parkhead Housing Association in Glasgow, is up against Paul Butterworth, head of social housing at law firm TLT.

CIH members vote for the vice president, who will spend a year in the role before taking over as president in 2018.

Alison Inman, the current vice president, will take over the presidency when Julie Fadden, chief executive of South Liverpool Housing, steps down in September.

Terrie Alafat, chief executive of CIH, said: “The vice presidency is a crucial role which helps to drive our organisation forward and the winning candidate will of course go on to be our president in 2018.”
