Housing association and council moves

Tariq Kazi
Tariq Kazi has started as group treasurer at Peabody

Gudrun Haskins-Carlisle has started as chief executive of Horton Housing, following the retirement of Paul Gartland. Ms Haskins-Carlisle has been with the organisation for 24 years, most recently as deputy chief executive. 

Miles Lanham has started as chief executive of CHISEL Housing, replacing Carmen White, who has become chief executive at Evolve Housing. Previously Mr Lanham was director of customer service and operations at SW9 Community Housing.

Richard Knott has been promoted to strategic director of housing and communities at New Forest District Council. Previously Mr Knott was assistant director of housing.

Tariq Kazi has started as group treasurer at Peabody. Mr Kazi joins from Southern Housing, where he was director of financial strategy. Peabody has also announced Phil Day as the group’s new chief financial officer. Mr Day will begin the role in September, replacing Eamonn Hughes. He is currently group finance director at The Guinness Partnership.

MTVH has appointed Maxine Gordon as its new director of housing. Most recently Ms Gordon was the director of resident and business service at the London Borough of Lewisham. Serena Heathcote has joined MTVH as director of customer experience. Previously Ms Heathcote was customer operations director at E.ON Next.

A2Dominion has appointed Anna Keast as its new director of governance and compliance. She joins from housing association Local Space, where she held the position of head of governance, risk and assurance. A2Dominion has also announced Jude Cross as its new director of specialist housing. Ms Cross joins from Metropolitan Thames Valley, where she held the position of head of care and support.

West of Scotland Housing Association has announced Valerie Wilson as director of finance. Ms Wilson joins from Cloch Housing Association, where she was deputy chief executive.

Golding Homes has appointed Rebecca Taylor to the new role of executive director for business change. Ms Taylor was previously principal consultant at Altair. 

Paul Coates has been promoted to chief customer officer at Bromford, from his previous role as executive director of customer transformation. He replaces Ashling Fox, who has started as managing director of Student Roost.

Orwell Housing Association has appointed Tony Long as its new director of customers and communities. Previously Mr Long was head of neighbourhood services – Essex at Moat Homes.

Ellie Greatorex has started as head of growth at Plus Dane Housing, replacing Siobhan Moore, who was promoted to director of growth last year. Previously Ms Greatorex was senior new business manager at L&Q.

Colin Dennis has taken over as chair of GreenSquareAccord, replacing Robin Bailey at the end of a three-year term. Mr Dennis was previously board chair at Citizen. GreenSquareAccord has also appointed a new digital services director, Simon Higgins. Mr Higgins joins from his role as director of information technology at Sanctuary.

Debbie Ellison, a resident of The Hyde Group, has been appointed as a member of the housing association’s group board. Ms Ellison has experience as a teacher, deputy head and parent governor, and started her estate’s tenants’ and residents’ association in 2003.

Graham Watts has been appointed director of operations at specialist accommodation provider Stef & Phillips

Graham Watts has been appointed director of operations at specialist accommodation provider Stef & Phillips. Most recently Mr Watts was executive director of housing and communities at Watmos Community Homes.

Willmott Dixon has appointed James Mackenzie as its new chief financial officer, replacing Graham Dundas who stepped into the chief executive role earlier this year. Mr Mackenzie was previously chief financial officer at Willmott Dixon’s joint venture partnership with EcoWorld London.
