Housing association and council moves

Housing association and council moves
  • Sinéad Farrell (pictured above) has been promoted to customer and corporate services manager at Clydebank Housing Association. Ms Farrell was previously communications officer. She began the newly created role on 1 April.
  • Craig Stirrat has taken up a new post as chief executive of Grampian Housing Association. Mr Stirrat was previously chief operating officer. 
  • Gary Preston has been appointed finance director at Dolphin Living. He joins from property investment company CLS Holdings, where he worked as financial controller. 
  • Claire Griffiths has been named the next chief executive of Liverpool-based association Cobalt Housing. She is currently executive director of growth, development and assets at Irwell Valley Homes and will replace Alan Rogers, who is retiring from Cobalt this year after 11 years.  
  • Mark Thrasher has been appointed chair of Tower Hamlets Community Housing. He has been on the board since 2016 and is also executive director of finance at Aspire Housing.
  • Home Group has appointed Helen Brindley as chief financial officer. She is currently director of finance at the organisation and will replace John Hudson when she takes up the role in late summer. The landlord has also promoted Will Gardner to executive director of development from his role as director of development. He takes up the position immediately.
  • South Lakes Housing has appointed Richard Morris and Shaun Gagie as director of finance and head of people and culture, respectively. Mr Morris was previously head of finance at the organisation. Mr Gagie joins the landlord from Radclyffe School, and has previously worked at New Charter Housing Association (now part of Jigsaw) and Wythenshawe Community Housing Group. 
  • Nick Grubb has been appointed head of housing at The Wrekin Housing Group. He was previously head of neighbourhoods at Cobalt Housing and replaces Andy Johnson, who is retiring. The landlord has also appointed James Jones as head of legal services. He was previously general counsel and director at Folkes Holdings and replaces Caroline Guy, who retired in late last year. 
  • Adrian Cheetham has been appointed as director of repairs at Clarion Housing GroupHe was previously director of property at Nottingham City Homes.  
  • Onward Homes has appointed Kate Jones and Kieran Keane to its board. Ms Jones is chief information officer for gas supplier Cadent and Mr Keane, who is a qualified accountant, was previously group executive director for corporate services at Places for People. 
  • Nick Gornall has been promoted to director of development at Great Places Housing Group. Mr Gornall was previously head of development and begins the new role in June. 
  • Joe McLoughlin has become managing director of Johnnie Johnson Housing’s new ‘Astraline’ subsidiary, which launched on 1 April. Mr McLoughlin is a member of the programme board at the Technology Enabled Care (TEC) Services Association and chairs the Greater Manchester Housing Providers TEC Strategy Working Group. 
  • Chris Pinson-Bradley has been appointed to the new role of community engagement manager at Platform Housing Group. He was previously lettings manager at Wolverhampton Homes and a board member at Beechdale Community Housing.
  • Ocean Housing has appointed Claire Davis and Myfanwy Barrett to the board of its subsidiary Gilbert & Goode and as a senior independent board member to its own board respectively. Ms Barrett replaces Debbie Wilshire, who has retired, having previously been chair of Ocean Housing.
  • PA Housing has appointed Steven Holmes and Graham Jones to head up its repairs and estates services, respectively. Mr Holmes was previously head of property services at Soho Housing, while Mr Jones joins from BSW Heating, where he was associate director of field operations.
  • Joe Williams has been appointed director of housing at Settle. He was previously head of housing operations at Poplar Harca.

  • Mary Foulkes (pictured above) has joined housing charity Shelter as director of equality, inclusion and culture. She previously held directorial roles in human resources in the NHS. 
  • Denzil Baisden has been appointed community engagement officer at independent management agency Rendall & Rittner. Mr Baisden has worked for the company for over a decade, most recently as divisional operations manager since 2019.  
  • Be McCarroll has joined national disability charity United Response as the organisation’s first housing and development officer. Ms McCarroll was previously the regional head of rented housing (South) at Anchor, the country’s largest provider of specialist housing and care for older people.  
  • Dee Aylward has joined independent law firm Mishcon de Reya as a partner in the company’s London office. She will sit within the residential property team at the Mishcon Private group. Before joining Mishcon de Reya, Ms Aylward headed up the residential property team at Laytons. 
  • Phil O’Loughlin has been appointed associate director at global professional services consultancy RPS. He was previously head of building physics at real estate consultancy Hollis. 
  • Management agency group Plentific has appointed Andy Belton and Jack Chandler to its strategic advisory board. Mr Belton retired from being chief operating officer of Notting Hill Genesis last year. Mr Chandler is the former global head and chair of BlackRock Real Estate.
  • Housing law firm Capsticks has promoted 25 of its specialists, including Nalton Stembari, who has been appointed legal director of housing and regeneration, and Tom Bradbury, who has been made principal associate in the housing management team. The roles were effective from 1 May.
