Construction on six three bedroom homes, three for social rent and three for intermediate rent, was recently completed and residents have now moved in. A further five homes for private sale have been completed by developer Bellway.

The homes were the first 167 to be developed by Southern Housing Group Barking Riverside regeneration scheme in east London. Of these, 114 will be for social rent and 53 for intermediate rent.

The Barking Riverside project will see Barking Riverside Ltd, a joint venture between the Homes and Communities Agency and developer Bellway Homes, work with SHG, the London Thames Gateway Development Corporation and Barking and Dagenham Council to build 10,800 homes over 20 years.
