Clarion has formed a new partnership with regeneration specialist Hadley Property Group, which aims to deliver mixed-use developments across London and other major urban centres.
The partnership’s first development will be an approximately 500-home scheme on a former Homebase site in Redbridge, London.
A mix of tenures will be provided as part of the scheme, including private sale, shared ownership and London Affordable Rent.
The partnership aims to submit a planning application for the project towards the end of 2020.
London-based Hadley is a privately owned company that has delivered more than 2,500 homes in the capital since 2002.
It currently has 2,300 homes in its pipeline with a combined gross development value of £1.1bn.
Urban design specialist Stockwool and landscape architect Fabrik have been commissioned to develop proposals for the site, which will also include new commercial, retail and community spaces.
Richard Cook, group development director at Clarion, said: “Our new partnership with Hadley will help Clarion continue to scale up our new home development plans across the country.
“Hadley shares our passion for building exemplar mixed-use communities, and we have a clear shared vision for regenerating the Goodmayes site in Redbridge.”
Andy Portlock, chief executive at Hadley, said: “Hadley and Clarion’s partnership will utilise the considerable and diverse attributes of both organisations to deliver a number of high-quality developments over the coming years.
“This initial acquisition is a great example of our joint ability to procure significant regeneration opportunities; and we look forward to working with Redbridge and the existing community on this exciting scheme.”
