The Guinness Partnership has just signed two gas servicing contract extensions which could be worth £140m #ukhousing

Guinness, which owns and manages 65,000 homes across England, has decided to retain two Sureserve subsidiaries, K&T Heating Services Ltd and Sure Maintenance Ltd, on long-term gas servicing, repair and installation deals.

The contracts, which will begin on 1 September, are for a minimum period of five years, but can be capped at 10. They are expected to generate combined sales revenue of £140m if they hit the 10-year mark.

According to Sureserve, it provides electrical and building maintenance services to over 160,000 homes in the UK, belonging to 30 registered providers, ALMOs and local authorities.

Both Sureserve subsidiaries hold a number of contracts with social housing providers. K&T Heating, which is primarily based in London and the South East, is currently employed to carry out annual gas safety checks and servicing work for L&Q and Wandle Housing Association, while Sure Maintenance works with Salix Homes and Bassetlaw District Council.

David Greenfield, managing director at K&T Heating, said: “By securing the London and South East regions of this contract, we will be able to build both strong and sustainable futures within the communities we serve and to continue developing the service promises we make, together with our team of committed people who help us achieve this.”

Pat Coleman, managing director at Sure Maintenance, said: “Everyone at Sure Maintenance is delighted to be able to continue working with such a strong and valued client.”
