An umbrella body of landlords will seek to almost double the size of the black and minority ethnic housing association sector within 10 years.
BME National – an umbrella body of BME landlords – wants the number of homes managed by BME landlords to increase from 60,000 to 100,000 within the next decade.
It will do this by helping to create partnership vehicles to carry out joint procurement, development and repairs and maintenance. It will also explore looking at accessing new sources of finance and stock transfers from social landlords.
