The appointment sees Mr Orr leave Yarlington after serving for seven years as the group’s chief executive. Prior to his time at Yarlington, Mr Orr held the role of chief executive of arm’s-length management organisation Homes in Sedgemoor.

Radian employs 800 staff and manages 21,000 homes across Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Dorset, Hampshire, Isle of Wight, Surrey, Sussex and Wiltshire.

Mr Orr said: “I am delighted to be taking on the new role at Radian. At Yarlington, we have achieved a tremendous amount on so many different fronts, building a great many new homes, revolutionising our services and creating opportunities for communities to thrive.
