In collaboration with Daikin UK, Wondrwall led the Heat Pump Ready Stream 2 project, funded by the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero. The project set out to integrate Daikin heat pumps with Wondrwall’s home energy management system, ensuring maximum efficiency, lower costs and a better user experience for homeowners.

The results speak for themselves. Both running costs and CO2 emissions were 66% lower than standalone heat pumps. Wondrwall’s system directly addresses the main barrier to heat pump adoption – cost – by using intelligent automation to optimise their operation in real time. Despite its advanced intelligence, the system requires no additional complexity or training for installers. Wondrwall has opened its platform to all heat pump manufacturers, ensuring developers can replicate the system’s benefits regardless of supplier.

This commitment to collaboration, standardisation and simplicity makes Wondrwall’s approach scalable and a potential game-changer for decarbonisation. Wondrwall is proving that smarter, AI-driven systems are the key to accelerating net-zero homes – cost-effectively, efficiently and at scale.

The judges said:

“An excellent bid detailing the significant advantages of the innovation and the potential for collaboration. Excellent running costs and truly innovative by sharing resources with other manufacturers and industry more widely”
