Roger Hiorns poured 90,000 litres of copper sulphate into the bedsit from the flat above, allowing it to coat the walls, ceilings and other surfaces before crystallising.

The exhibition, Seizure, was put on display last autumn, and featured in a number of publications, including Inside Housing.

Mr Hiorns will compete against three other artists for the prestigious Turner Prize: Enrico David, Lucy Skaer and Richard Wright.
