The chief executive of a North Yorkshire-based housing association is stepping down from the role.
Gail Teasdale will leave Broadacres at the end of this month after heading up the landlord since January 2018.
She said in a statement that she was stepping down “for personal reasons”.
A new chief executive is yet to be announced.
During her time in the role, Broadacres said Ms Teasdale oversaw the development of new homes, improved its existing homes and supported customers through a support fund.
Ms Teasdale’s previous roles include executive director of finance and corporate services at Accent Group and head of corporate services at Aire Valley Homes.
She is also a board member at the National Housing Federation (NHF) and Chorley Building Society.
In 2023, Ms Teasdale was appointed the NHF nominee director at The Housing Finance Corporation.
Ms Teasdale said: “It has been a privilege to champion the voice of rural housing in North Yorkshire and nationally.
“I am proud of what Broadacres has contributed during the years I have served as chief executive and of the role rural housing can play in the community.”
Helen Simpson, chair of Broadacres, added: “The board and I would like to thank Gail for her hard work and commitment to Broadacres as we have delivered great homes and great customer experiences to our customers and the communities we serve.”
Last year, Broadacres was awarded a C2 grade by the Regulator of Social Housing under its consumer standards.
At the time, Ms Teasdale said the inspection process had “recognised many of the positive outcomes we deliver for Broadacres customers, and in the coming months the board and dedicated colleagues will work with the regulator to make improvements in the areas identified to attain the C1 grade that our customers deserve”.
