ForViva appoints new group chief executive #ukhousing

Ms McKune will take the reins at the group whose members include the 24,000-home housing association ForHousing and national property services business Liberty.

She will take over from Tim Doyle, who stepped down as group chief executive on 31 May.

Ms McKune has worked as group deputy chief executive since 2015 when she joined ForViva from City West Housing Trust, where she held the role of director of asset management prior to being promoted to deputy chief executive.

The appointment of Ms McKune comes after ForViva appointed Henry Terefenko as chief executive for ForHousing, a role which previously formed part of Mr Doyle’s responsibilities as group chief executive.

Commenting on her appointment, Ms McKune said: “We believe in a better way to do business. One that gives back and does great things by focusing on positive outcomes and using profits for good.

“I am incredibly proud to take over the role and committed to our core values of passion, openness, respect and trust.

“As we grow, we will do all we can to bring an end to inequality both in the workplace and wider society.”

She added: “As a group we have a duty to create an inclusive and supportive working environment.

“This is very personal to me – as a woman I have rallied against bias and sexism in previous roles.”
