The company will carry out work on Notting Hill Genesis’ £66m regeneration of the next phase of the Aylesbury Estate, which is due to begin later this year.

Last week, Bovis completed its £1.1bn deal to buy rival Galliford Try’s Linden Homes and Partnerships & Regeneration businesses and changed the group’s name to Vistry Group.

The housing association, which is working in partnership with Southwark Council to regenerate the site, is planning to build a new public library, health and early years’ facilities, commercial space and 122 new homes for rent in the next stage of the development.

Of the new homes, 23 will be for social rents for people over 55 and 99 will be let through Folio London, Notting Hill Genesis’ market rent brand.

Ken Baikie, interim director of regeneration at Notting Hill Genesis, said: “We are pleased to appoint Vistry Partnerships to build the new homes and community facilities on Plot 18, the next phase of the Aylesbury regeneration to be built.

“Its experience and high standards will help to ensure that this neighbourhood hub will be a real asset for the community.”

Ray Toft, managing director of Vistry Partnerships, London, said: “Our business has an excellent track record in delivering mixed-use regeneration schemes, combining the delivery of high-quality community facilities, alongside much-needed affordable housing throughout London, and we are delighted that Notting Hill Genesis has entrusted us, once again, with delivering this next phase of construction works at their site within the Aylesbury Estate.”

In total, the development partnership between Notting Hill Housing and Southwark Council will create 3,500 new homes, 50% of which will be affordable and the others will be for private sale.

Of that 50% affordable, three-quarters will be designated for social rent and the rest will be for shared ownership and shared equity.

The work is due to be completed in 2032.

Johnson Situ, cabinet member for growth, development and planning at Southwark Council, said: “Plot 18 is the keystone of the wider regeneration of the area as it features community facilities like the new library, early years centre and medical centre, and we are excited to be working with Vistry Partnerships to deliver these important new facilities to the local community.”
