Catalyst has completed a revamp of its executive team after appointing Gary Goggins as its new executive director of property for the association following its successful merger with Aldwyck Housing Group.
The appointment is the final to be made to Catalyst’s executive team following the merger, which sees the new combined provider manage and own 32,000 properties across London and the South East.
Mr Goggins has held the role of executive director of property services at Aldwyck since 2007, having first joined the association in 2006 as head of property and procurement.
During this time, he was responsible for establishing Aldwyck’s property maintenance subsidiary Connect Property Services and has served as its managing director since 2010.
Originally from a construction and contracting background, Mr Goggins has been involved in the successful delivery of large-scale asset management and maintenance for the past 20 years. He moved into the housing association sector in 2001 where he worked as technical services director for Hanover Group for five years before joining Aldwyck.
Ian McDermott, chief executive of Catalyst, said: “I am very pleased to appoint Gary to Catalyst’s now fully formed executive team. Having worked with him at Aldwyck, I know Gary will work extremely hard to deliver excellent service to our customers.
“I am also very happy to have now completed Catalyst’s new executive team. Our recent merger is about doing more, and seizing on new opportunities to build more affordable homes and deliver exceptional services.”
