Family Mosaic has transferred its 200 homes in Richmond to another housing association to ‘rationalise its portfolio across London’.
The larger London-based housing association transferred the ownership of its stock to Richmond Housing Partnership this week.
It will reinvest the proceeds in other London boroughs where it has stock.
Brendan Sarsfield, Family Mosaic’s chief executive, said: ‘We have transferred these homes to RHP because we believe it can provide a more local service than we can.
‘We have done similar deals in other boroughs as part of our Big but Local strategy. This deal enables us to focus our efforts on boroughs and communities where we can make a positive difference. It is a win-win deal for all our residents.’
Family Mosaic has already transferred stock in Camden, Kingston and Slough and has plans to do so in other areas.
David Done, chief executive of Richmond Housing Partnership said: ‘We are delighted to welcome more than 200 new customers to RHP.
‘We believe in providing excellent customer service to our tenants and leaseholders, and being local means that we can really develop a personal relationship, whilst offering great value for money.’
