Broxbourne-based B3Living said the 337-home transfer was its largest acquisition to date and represents a 5.5% growth in stock for the association.

The provider now owns nearly 6,000 homes across Hertfordshire and Essex. The transferred properties are a mix of houses and flats across four Hertfordshire boroughs, with the majority found in Welwyn Hatfield.

Most are let at a social rent, with around 20% comprising leasehold and shared ownership properties.

Andy Walder, chair of B3Living, said: “We are delighted to welcome more residents from the communities we already know and serve.

“As a local organisation, being close to our customers is important to us so it is great news that we’re able to extend our personalised support and high-quality services to them.

“This stock transfer is the largest addition to our portfolio to date and presents us with an excellent opportunity to strengthen our local presence and grow as a business.”

Matthew Cornwall-Jones, chief homes officer at NHG, said: “We wish all our former residents every success with their new landlord.

“The groundwork for this transfer started many months ago, and we want to sincerely thank all the residents who participated and engaged through planning, selection and consultation with B3Living.

“As we refocus our efforts on London, we make sure that any transfer of homes is handled responsibly, choosing partners who share our purpose, are committed to excellent resident experience and already play a positive role in the local community. B3Living reflects these values, and we wish them every success.”

In 2024, B3Living acquired 250 homes from Orbit Group, and also took on housing management responsibilities for 41 properties from Hertfordshire County Council.
