Welsh landlord makes three senior appointments

A Welsh housing association has made three key senior appointments as it looks to strengthen the delivery of its new four-year strategic plan.

LinkedIn IHA Welsh housing association has made three key senior appointments as it looks to strengthen the delivery of its new four-year strategic plan #UKhousing

Cynon Taf Community Housing Group has brought in the new recruits as the landlord moves forward with its new strategic plan for 2025-29.

The recruits will join group finance director Alison Williams to form the the landlord’s executive team and report to chief executive Auriol Miller.

Angharad Rogers has been promoted to director of housing and communities after more than two decades helping the association maximise its impact locally.

Emma Brute will take up the new role of director of organisational development and business improvement.

She is currently head of information and business transformation at United Welsh, and brings experience in streamlining operations and enhanced compliance.

Owain Roberts, formerly director of property and place at Newport City Homes, takes up the new role of director of assets, decarbonisation and growth.

He will be responsible for Cynon Taf’s asset and development teams and will take on the technical oversight of its decarbonisation work and compliance with the Welsh Housing Quality Standard.

The Rhondda Cynon Taf-based housing association looks after more than 2,000 homes, including specialised housing for older people and people with additional needs.

Chief executive Ms Miller said: “Following a rigorous recruitment process, I am really pleased to be welcoming Angharad, Emma and Owain to the executive team at Cynon Taf Community Housing Group.

“Each brings with them significant experience in their respective fields, and I am looking forward to working with them to deliver against year one of our new strategic plan and shared vision for healthy valleys communities where everyone feels connected, supported and hopeful about the future.”
