Surplus social homes could be bought by investment vehicles for temporary accommodation, taskforce says

A taskforce set up to explore better ways of providing temporary accommodation has suggested that landlords, councils and the government could work together to buy surplus social housing stock and let it at Local Housing Allowance (LHA) rates.
